Decor? The WSJ and Realtor Magazine tell us What’s In and What’s Out in 2016

I don’t know about you but I love all the lists that come out at the end – or beginning  – of a New Year.  Whether politics or TV shows or foods, I think it’s fun to see what’s in and what’s out

In this case, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) and Realtor Magazine teamed up to declare the in’s and out’s of home decor in 2016.  I can honestly say that none of these items seem to be part of my real estate experience but you can be sure I’m going to be on the look out for my clients!

              2018                                                                     2016

Rosy Metallic                                                                 Black Metallic

Facets/Hard Lines                                                       “Curvy” Home Decor

Industrial Look                                                              Old World Style

“Oppressive” Mid-Century Modern                           Mexican Mid-Century Modern

Sisal and Jute                                                                 Flat Scandinavian Weaves (rugs and carpet)

Bottom line?  I don’t think this list is really going to make much of a difference when it comes to choosing a home!

Home is where one begins . . . .
